Things to Know About Cold-Pressed Organic Castor Oil
The castor tree is recognizable by its yellow blossoms and deep red fruits. Castor oil is extracted from its seeds. Gentle cold-pressing preserves the oil's important ingredients. Castor oil contains a high proportion of ricinoleic acid, a colorless to yellowish triglyceride, which makes castor oil a true all-rounder in skin and hair care. Valuable fatty acids stabilize the skin's acid mantle, soothe irritated skin, and nourish hair and hair roots.
Application Tips:
- For moisturizing: Apply a few drops of the oil to cleansed, still damp skin and massage in gently. For a lighter texture, it can be mixed with jojoba oil or almond oil.
- For cleansing: Apply a small amount of the oil to a cotton pad and use it to cleanse the skin of makeup and dirt. Then remove any remaining oil with a warm, damp cloth.
- For lip care: Apply directly to the lips to prevent dryness and chapping.
- For eyelash and eyebrow care: Apply a few drops to the brows and lash line. Avoid contact with the eyes.
- To strengthen the hairline and prevent breakage: Gently massage a few drops into the hairline.
- For beard care: Massage a few drops of castor oil into the skin on the chin and cheeks, then distribute it from the roots to the tips of the hair. Leave on overnight and, if necessary, remove excess oil with warm water or shampoo in the morning.
- As a mask: Mix castor oil with honey or aloe vera, apply, and rinse off after 15 minutes.
